THE DEATH OF AL-BAGHDADI WILL CHANGE NOTHING – LIKE THAT OF BIN LADEN
The real threat is the ideology of Islamic fundamentalism

27 October 2019

We naturally salute those heroes that carried out a successful operation and eliminated the head of ISIS fundamentalist terrorism. Al-Baghdadi was the head of ISIS but not the leader of Islamic fundamentalist ideology. This sickening ideology has several leaders that spread and empower fundamentalist terrorism – not in the service of Muslim people and their faith, but for their destruction. One of the most dangerous leaders of this ideology is Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey. This is a fact.

It appears difficult for NATO and her allies to accept this fact, just as for the European Union, to accept Erdogan’s true face. In the same sense, it will be even more difficult for the decent and civilised part of Turkish citizens to see and to agree that Erdogan is a fundamentalist Islamist terrorist. Unfortunately, this is what he is.

None of this changes the truth behind the facts. Al-Baghdadi’s death is a success but not a good reason to celebrate because it is not going to change the facts on the ground. It is the ideology that is the truly matters. Just as the death of Bin Laden changed nothing and the civilised world needs to deal with and destroy the ideology of Islamic fundamentalism.

The USA’s role in dealing with this threat is crucial just as is that of NATO. Looking for realistic solutions, the formation of the United States of Kurdistan will be needed to undermine the extremist ideology and, of course, we also have to acknowledge that Israel’s position is even more important that anyone else has recognised. It must also be stated that Egypt, Saudi and Jordan’s participation in overcoming Islamist fundamentalist ideology is very important and that Erdogan of Turkey has been the basis for the dissemination of Islamic fundamentalism. This must not be underestimated; it is a fact.

With the death of al-Baghdadi, that pre-empted bringing him to trial, Erdogan’s complicity in al-Baghdadi and ISIS’s actions will fully be exposed. The location of elimination of al- Baghdadi is proof of Erdogan’s complicity with the creation of Islamist fundamentalism in that area. I have a very serious question:, was al-Baghdadi the one coordinating operations in Rojava of Kurdistan, or was it Turkish military and Erdogan.
